Birman Breeders
Characteristics of a Quality Birman Breeder
✅ Choose a CFA-Registered Birman Breeder You Can Trust
A reputable breeder will be registered with CFA (Cat Fanciers’ Association) or another recognized organization such as the National Birman Fanciers (www.birmansusa.com). These associations enforce strict breeding standards to protect the health, temperament, and integrity of the Birman breed.
At Kyatwo Birmans, we’re proud to be CFA-registered, and our cats come from Grand Champion and National Winning bloodlines.
🩺 Health and Genetic Testing Is Non-Negotiable
Ask your breeder if the parents of your kitten have been DNA tested for common genetic conditions and regularly screened by a licensed veterinarian. A quality breeder is transparent about their health protocols and will never breed cats with known health issues.
At Kyatwo, all of our breeding cats are genetically tested and vet-checked to ensure they are free of hereditary diseases. Our kittens undergo regular health evaluations, vaccinations, and deworming before leaving for their forever homes.
👨👩👧 Raised in Our Home, With Daily Socialization
Kittens raised in a home, not a kennel, receive the hands-on care and early exposure they need to become well-adjusted companions. Between the critical socialization window of 6 to 16 weeks, kittens should be gently introduced to people, sounds, routines, and handling.
Our Birman kittens are raised indoors, underfoot, surrounded by family members and everyday activity. We invest daily love and time to nurture kittens that are confident, affectionate, playful, and ready for life in your home.
💉 Vaccinations, Deworming & Vet Care
Before bringing your new kitten home, make sure it has received the appropriate vaccines and preventative care. Ask for a complete veterinary health record, and confirm when the next shots are due.
At Kyatwo Birmans, our kittens leave between 14–16 weeks of age, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and cleared by our veterinarian. We also offer a 30-day Trupanion health insurance certificate, providing added peace of mind during the transition to your home.
📃 Health Guarantee & Adoption Contract
Trustworthy breeders will offer a written health guarantee and a clear adoption agreement outlining responsibilities on both sides. This ensures transparency and protects both the buyer and the kitten.
Each kitten from Kyatwo Birmans comes with:
-
A CFA registration certificate
-
A signed health guarantee
-
A detailed adoption contract
-
Lifetime breeder support
We are here for you before, during, and after adoption. -
🤝 References & Reputation Matter
Don’t be afraid to ask for testimonials from previous buyers. A reputable breeder will be proud of the lifelong relationships they've built and eager to share reviews from happy families.
Kyatwo Birmans has placed kittens in loving homes across the U.S. Many of our buyers return for a second kitten—or refer friends and family. We are honored by their trust and feedback.
🙅♀️ Ethical Breeding Practices – No Declawing, No Early Separation
A reputable Birman breeder will never support harmful practices such as declawing, and will never send a kitten home too early. We advocate for humane, respectful care of all cats. Our kittens stay with their mothers and littermates until they are socially and physically mature enough to thrive in a new environment.
